Emergency Medical Technician

Designed to produce competent entry-level EMT’s who can service the community with basic life support care via the EMS infrastructure. Students learn to assess injuries and illnesses and administer basic emergency medical care. Students learn best practices in transporting injured or sick persons to medical facilities. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is included in the course. Students will demonstrate the skills necessary to achieve the State and National Registry EMT certification. Possible employment opportunities: ambulance, fire and rescue services, hospitals, government departments, industrial, and humanitarian relief organizations.
