The Role of the Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the prompt, fair and impartial investigation and resolution of Title IX complaints.
There is no time limit in reporting a Title IX complaint; however, complainants should report violations of the policy in a timely manner to maximize the college’s ability to respond effectively.
The Title IX Coordinator is assisted by a Title IX committee composed of administrators, faculty, student services staff, and the coordinator of emergency response and campus safety.

Students or Prospective Students

New River Community College is committed to providing an environment that is free from harassment and discrimination based on any status protected by law. Students or prospective students who believe they have witnessed or experienced sex discrimination, which includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, should present their concerns to either of the following:
