The primary focus of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course is to provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. The individual processes the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. The curriculum for this program complies with VCCS standards and has been approved by Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to take the National Registry Exam for certification to practice.
