I am starting my fifth season coaching at NRCC this year. Before arriving at NRCC, I coached traveling AAU teams in Montgomery County and North Carolina. I graduated from Radford High School where I played basketball under Rick Cormany. I attended New River Community College from 2002 to 2006. I played basketball at New River Community College under Patrick Burns and Patrick Lawson. I was Patrick Lawson’s assistant coach for two years and then I became the head coach of the New River team in 2009. I work with a lot of players in the New River Valley, both men and women, girls and boys. I love to be involved in the community and to help others. My assistant coach and I are grateful to have this experience at New River Community College. We are looking forward to enjoying a wonderful season. Thanks for the support from my family and friends.
Welcome to the New River Muskies Men’s Basketball Team! Our team motto is “Believe I Can!”
I am proud to be the assistant men’s basketball coach for the fifth year at New River Community College. I have coached over 14 years in football and basketball in youth leagues in the New River Valley. I have also coached many championship AAU teams, past and present. I have also helped coach the Radford University Football club team for three years. I am the coach of the alumni team at Radford High School. I enjoy working with students and watching them succeed. I love to be involved in the community helping others. I appreciate the opportunity to work with the head coach Lamar Martin and staff at New River Community College. I’m very proud of where we’ve been and am looking forward to where we’re going! Go Muskies!
