NRCC Associate Degree Nursing Class 2007
Fifty-six students in the 2007 associate degree nursing class at New River Community College received their NRCC nursing pins at a ceremony held on campus Wednesday evening, May 9.

This was third class of associate degree nursing students to hold a pinning ceremony at New River Community College. In 2003 the college began offering both the first and second year of the program, with the initial class graduating in May, 2005.

Pat Campbell, chief nursing officer for Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, was keynote speaker. Dr. Jack Lewis, NRCC president, and Dr. Glenn DuBois, chancellor of the Virginia Community College System, made welcoming remarks to the group of 600 family members, friends and guests.

Teri D. Moore, associate professor of nursing, gave background information on the design of the New River Community College nursing pin which includes a path, gate, sun, and mountains encircled by the words New River Community College Nursing.
