More than twenty students were recognized as Outstanding Students in a Curriculum/Subject Area by New River Community College.
The awards were determined by the faculty in the various programs at the college. All students receiving the Outstanding Student in a Curriculum award have completed requirements for an associate degree, certificate, diploma or career studies certificate and are eligible to graduate from the college this spring or summer.
The students recognized are: Cobey Joe Adams, electronics technology; Leigh Anne Akers, nursing; Brayden Isaiah Blackburn, engineering design technology; William Clifford Brummett, Jr., forensic science; Maura Frances Coughlin, nursing; Kalise Lee Devera, English; Zachary Edward Fender, information technology; Lorelei Elizabeth Gerow, English; Grace Ellen Granger, visual communication design; Brennan Belial Grimshaw, human services; Alisha Dawn Hale, administrative support technology; Ian Jackson Kelley, English; Summer Renee Love, English; Daven Tung Kang Lu, instrumentation & control automation technology; Joshua Caleb Martin, IT cyber security; Travis Scott Myers, welding technology; River Jordan Ostrander, general studies fine arts; Carsyn Faith Pauley, education; Mary Catherine Pavlik, English; Brittany Huff Racey, nursing; Anna Louise Sargent, paralegal administrative support; Joshlyn Brooke Williams, early childhood development; and Corine Allison Yopp, English.
