Race for ACCE provides debt-free tuition for Montgomery County high school graduates to attend New River Community College. Participating students must complete 80 community service hours each year and maintain a 2.5 GPA while attending NRCC
As a Race for ACCE sponsor you are providing ALL Montgomery County students with the opportunity for debt-free college at NRCC!
Race 5K Registration Fees - $25
Family Discount (3 or more) - $60
Children’s Fun Run Registration Fee - $10
The event will take place on the Blacksburg High School Cross Country Course. Children's fun run will take place on the track at 9:30 a.m. Awards ceremony to follow.
** Registration includes a race t-shirt. (Those who register by July 8th will have their t-shirt by race weekend.)
Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Awards for the top three runners in each age group as well as finisher ribbons for all fun run participants will be awarded.
All proceeds will benefit NRCC's Montgomery County Access to Community College Education (ACCE), which is a public/private partnership that makes tuition-free college at NRCC available to Montgomery County high school graduates who meet the criteria. Participating students must complete 80 community service hours each year and maintain a 2.5 GPA in their NRCC coursework.
