When Pat Bear graduated from Wytheville Community College in 1974, she never imagined that one day she would become president of a college. But, 43 years later, Dr. Pat B. Huber became New River Community College’s fifth president and the first female to hold the position.
NRCC announced its support of the newly-launched Growth4VA campaign, which will focus on promoting reform and reinvestment in Virginia’s top-ranked higher education system.
The Phi Theta Kappa 2018 All-Virginia Academic team includes two New River Community College students. Congratulations to William McClellan, of Blacksburg, and Brooke Quesenberry, of Snowville.
The Public Information Office plays a role in communicating the institution's capabilities for serving the New River Valley and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Areas of responsibility include public information, marketing, publications and related areas.
It also assists in maintaining relationships with the news media, as well as students, potential students, faculty, staff and friends of the college.
