Submit Applicant Essays

Please answer the following essay questions. Be ambitious in your writing, but also aware of your word count limitation (500 words or less). Use Times New Roman font, 12-point, single spaced paragraphs. All essays must be submitted by the deadline to be considered for the Nursing Scholars aware.

1. Why do you feel you are a strong candidate for selection to the Nursing Scholars Program? How do you personally define scholarship, leadership, character, and service, and how do you exemplify these qualities?
2. Describe how your experiences, perspectives, talents, and/or your involvement in leadership activities (at your school, job, community, or within your family) will help you to make an impact both in and out of the classroom while enrolled at New River Community College.
3. How will your engagement with the Nursing Scholars Program foster your academic, personal, and professional growth?
