The healthcare field is one that requires constant training. The Office of Workforce Development at New River Community College is responding to that need by offering Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM) credentialing next month in Dublin.
NRCC, in partnership with the Practice Management Institute of Texas (PMI), will hold CMOM training on October 15, 16, 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The 4-day course covers skills involved in managing a medical office such as financial management, compliance requirements, managed care, practice administration and personnel and time management. The course culminates with a three-hour exam, after which passing students are awarded the CMOM credential and 20 PMI CEUs.
Tuition is $999 per person, which includes instructional materials. To register, visit www.nr.edu/workforce and click on the link for "Certified Medical Office Manager Training."
