NRCC Fall Kick-Off Open Houses Scheduled

New River Community College Fall Kick-Off Open Houses will be held in Christiansburg and Dublin later this month for students, and their family and friends.

One open house will be held Thursday, Aug. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the NRV Mall site in Christiansburg. The second open house will be Saturday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Martin Hall in Dublin.

The Fall Kick-Off events give students and their supporters the chance to visit campus before the semester begins, meet faculty and staff, purchase textbooks, tour campus and get questions answered.

Drop by anytime during the open house events. College offices including financial aid, business office, advising and more will be open to assist and answer questions. Additionally, many faculty members will be on campus. Plus, the bookstore will be open.

3-D technology will be available to try and door prizes will be given away.

On Saturday, the first 50 to arrive on campus in Dublin will receive a free hot dog or nachos.

A free 3-D printing workshop will also be offered on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. No experience required. Sign up by contacting Serena Moore at (540) 674-3677 or smoore@nr.edu.
