Introduction to 3-D printing workshop offered Feb. 1

A non-credit introductory workshop on 3-D printing will be offered at New River Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Dublin. The workshop will feature overviews of 3-D printing history and current technology including uses of 3-D printing in education and industry.

Participants will be given demonstrations, shown how to set up printers, provided tips and tricks for printing and a basic introduction to modeling software including Inventor, Space Claim and SketchUp. Future 3-D printing technologies will also be discussed.
