Computer viruses, malware, identity theft, cyber stalking and other online risks are often in the news. New River Community College will offer an informative three-hour session to include how to avoid these and other problems and stay safe and secure while taking advantage of everything the Internet has to offer.
Dr. David Filer, NRCC associate professor of information systems, will lead the "Staying Safe Online" workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the New River Community College NRV Mall site, room 143. There is a $30 fee for the workshop.
