For one day only, the New River Community College Adult Basic Education/GED Program is offering the GED Ready Test in one subject at no cost for students.
The free practice test and a free pizza lunch will be available on Tuesday, Jan. 17, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in 234 Edwards Hall, Dublin. Current and prospective students may come in to take a practice test in the subject of their choice and register for spring semester GED class.
"Taking the GED practice test is encouraged to determine if a student is ready to pass the GED exam and to decide what further practice the student needs in that subject area," says Diane Gray, director of Transitional Programs at NRCC. Instructors then use that information to create an individualized study plan to help the students prepare as quickly as possible for passing the exam.
