Forty-five earn Outstanding Student awards at NRCC

News story imageForty-five students were recognized as Outstanding Students in a Curriculum/Subject Area at the recent President's Awards Ceremony at New River Community College in Dublin.

The awards were determined by the faculty in the various programs at the college. All students receiving the Outstanding Student in a Curriculum award have completed requirements for an associate degree, certificate or diploma and are eligible to participate in the college's commencement ceremony on Friday, May 13.

Those receiving awards were:From Alleghany County - Kevin Tremblay, Electrical Engineering Technology.

From Carroll County - Cassandra Frazier, Education.

From Floyd County - John Johnson, Welding and Lorenzo I. Rios, Jr., Forensic Science.

From Galax - Daniel Chavez, Automotive Analysis and Repair; James Hodge, Biology; and Jessica Milby, Marketing Management.

From Giles County - Tessa Annette Atkins, Paralegal Studies; Cody French , General Studies Computer Science; Patrick Hahnlen, Business Management; R. G. Magnase, Fine Arts; and Justin Schwartz, Game Technology and Animation.

From Montgomery County - Anna Dantzler, Business Administration; Kevin DeHart, Information Technology; Philip Gilbertson, Machine Technology; Natalie Henderson, Automotive Analysis and Repair; Skye King, Religion; Indhava Kunjara, Architectural and Engineering Design; Noah Magnifico, Engineering Design Technology; Melrose Meehan, Liberal Arts; Nataliya Morozova, Music; Tyler Proffitt, Engineering; James H.
