On October 28, 2008, the student lounge in Martin Hall became a pumpkin patch. Ben Kramer, Student Activities Director received a call from Sinkland Farms saying that they had 200 pumpkins for sale at 3:00 that afternoon. This was an timely opportunity for Student Activities and the SGA. The two groups shared in the cost of the pumpkins. The SGA gave twenty of the pumpkins to the preschool and the rest were open for the student body, faculty and staff for the taking. The question is, what do we need 200 pumpkins for? Again Kramer has something fun for the student body to do. On October 31, we had a carving contest to see who had the steadiest hand, the most creative eye, and the ability to put them together.

The SGA thanks the members of the student body who stayed after 6:30 the night of the delivery to help the SGA members get the pumpkins into the lounge in Martin Hall.

I’d like to know how much he bought those for. I mean, I understand donations to a non-profit organizations, but why did he have to buy them?
