Background

Ted Alberts is Associate Professor of Welding at NRCC and is the Faculty Advisor for students enrolled in the Welding Curriculum. Ted received both his B.S. in Education and his M.S. in Industry and Technology from Northern Illinois University. He has approximately 10 years of industrial welding experience as a production welder, a pipe welder at medical facilities and a pipe welder at a nuclear power station, and he has been employed as both a welding supervisor and as a welding quality assurance technician. Ted's experiences as a welding educator span the past 25 years at the high school and community college levels. In 1994 Ted became a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and a Certified Welding Educator (CWE) through the American Welding Society.
