Registration has been extended for New River Community College's new pharmacy technician training program.
The daytime session start date has been changed, and will now begin Nov. 15 and run until Dec. 20. The session will occur Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The course teaches pharmacy technician students information, techniques and procedures needed to assist the pharmacist in delivery of pharmaceutical products and services. Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Virginia and be prepared to take the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam.
For those who qualify for the Workforce Credential Grant (WCG) program, the session is $66.
