New River Community College will celebrate Manufacturing Day on Friday, Oct. 7.
The college will offer extended hours in a 3D printing lab that will be open to the public. The lab will be open Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located in 109 Martin Hall on the college's campus in Dublin.
Also, throughout the day NRCC professors will be talking about career opportunities with students in manufacturing classes.
Manufacturing Day was formed by the National Association of Manufacturers, Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Manufacturing Institute, and Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International. The day was created as a nation-wide celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.
