Seats still available in alternative energy, electronics technology courses at NRCC
|Seats are still available in two of New River Community Collegeís specialized technical classes for the fall 2012 semester.
Introduction to Alternative Energy Including Hybrid Systems is a three-credit course offered as part of the Alternative Energy and Renewable Energy career studies certificate programs.
The class introduces students to alternative energy with an emphasis on solar photovoltaic systems, small wind turbines technology and related technologies, applications and terminology.
With a solar array, solar tracking array and geothermal equipment present on campus and a wind park under construction, students will also have the opportunity for hands-on training.
Multiple sessions of D.C. and A.C. Fundamentals I also have seats available. This course examines D.C. and A.C. circuits, basic electrical components, instruments, network theorems and techniques used to predict, analyze and measure electrical quantities.
