Cake decorating class to be offered next month at NRCC

| New River Community College (NRCC) will offer a 10-week class in cake decorating beginning next month. The class will be offered on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. from March 1 through May 3 at NRCC in Dublin. Teresa Blankenbeckler will serve as instructor. Participants in the class will learn a variety of cake decorating skills including creating borders and flowers, basket-weaving, lattice work, drop strings and figure piping. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to create a character cake, cut-up cake, transfer cake and tiered cake. Tuition for the course is $92 and students are responsible for purchasing supplies. To register for this course, contact the NRCC Office of Workforce Development at 540-674-3600, ext. 4323. |
