Customer service workshop to be held at NRCC
|Everyone remembers the customer service they receive. A free workshop that helps “front-line” employees enhance their customer service skills will be held next month in Dublin.
New River Community College (NRCC), in partnership with the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC), will host “The WOW Factor: Where Service Excellence Starts” on Wednesday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at the NRCC campus in Dublin.
Objectives of the program include showcasing why customer service is beneficial, identifying and practicing positive behaviors that enhance customer service skills, learning to treat co-workers as internal customers and helping front-line employees gain confidence and crucial skills needed to act as good hosts and leaders.
The workshop will be presented by Bobbie Walker, director of education and workforce readiness at VTC. In her role with VTC, Walker works directly with Virginia destinations and attractions, regularly presenting customer service training programs for front-line staff and management.
