'Why Christian?' World religions lecture set at NRCC
|Dr. Graham Mitchell, NRCC professor of psychology/religion, will present a lecture titled “Why Christian?” Tuesday, April 26, at 11 a.m. in 206 Edwards Hall at New River Community College in Dublin.
The Christian church has a long and dark history filled with social injustice, denigration of women and the negation of basic human dignity. So, why do many who have suffered under the church remain convinced Christians? Explore this topic during Dr. Mitchell’s lecture, with group discussion to follow.
The event, which is part of a continuing lecture series on world religions, is open to the public.
