John Burkett is Associate Professor of Machine Shop Technology at New River Community College. He received his master's at Virginia Tech in Vocational- Technical Education.

John Burkett has gained additional experience by working at Electro-Tec as a machinist, and also by working at Wolverine Manufacturing Company in the tool room.
