Request for Library Instruction

The library staff will gladly conduct library orientation or specialized library instruction sessions for your classes. Instruction may be conducted in your classroom if equipped with computer workstations, in the IT Lab within the Learning Resources Center, or in the Serials wing of the library.

General Orientation

Includes general tour of the library and introduces students to the basics of library research. Students will learn how to utilize the online catalog to find library materials and periodical databases to search for articles.

Specialized Instruction

Instruction may be tailored to focus on subject-specific resources and/or course topics and assignments. Searching techniques, evaluating Web based information sources and other relevant topics may also be incorporated into these sessions.

If you would like to schedule library orientation or instruction for your class, please contact Alison Cockram at ext.4331 or nrcocka@nr.edu.
