netLibrary is a virtual library which contains over 20,000 full-text electronic books. These full-text e-books may be viewed and searched online and sections may be printed for your research needs. In order to access this virtual library you must first create an account from on-campus.

Health Source Nursing/Academic Edition provides more than 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. This database features abstracts and indexing for approximately 850 journals and is updated on a daily basis.

Health Source Consumer Edition is one of the richest collections of consumer health information available to libraries providing information on many medical and health related topics. This database features searchable full text for nearly 300 journals and is updated on a daily basis.

CINAHL is the premier index to journals in the nursing and allied health field. Full-text articles are available for many citations through VIVA.

Clinical Pharmacology contains current and concise information on all U.S. prescription drugs, hard-to-find herbal and nutritional supplements, OTC products, and new and investigational drugs.

MEDLINE is a specialized medical database that indexes journals in the medical field. This is a citation only database with some full text articles available through VIVA’s Online Journal Locator service.

OVID Nursing Journals allows one to search articles from scholarly nursing and medical journals. Full-text access to approximately 250 nursing journals is included.

PsychInfo indexes books, journals, reports, dissertations on psychology and related fields such as nursing and pharmacology. Includes links to some full-text articles.

Consumer Health Complete is the single most comprehensive resource for consumer-oriented health content.

AltHealth Watch offers full-text articles on complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness.

Allnurses.com is a commercial site that includes nursing care plans, material tailored to students, nursing magazines and online journals, career opportunities, and links to nursing schools, hospitals, state boards, nursing organizations, and shopping.

Centers for Disease Control
The official site for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. An excellent site for statistics and
health/safety related issues.

HealthWeb is a searchable database of biomedical websites compiled by librarians and professionals.

MayoClinic is sponsored by the Mayo Clinic and dedicated to patient education. This site includes disease information and prevention, drug information, nutrition, health topics and current issues and web resources.

MedWeb consists of biomedical and health related web sites maintained by Emory University .

Merck Manual of Diagnosis & Therapy

National Center for Health Statistics compiles statistical information on America ’s health.

PDR Health (Physician’s Desk Reference)

Science.gov (Health & Medicine) provides authoritative health and medical information from U.S. Government agencies, including research and development results.

WebMD provides consumer-focused healthcare information through WebMD Health as well as clinical information from medical journals, medical conferences, and other integrated medical resources within their Medscape link.
