Academic Search Complete is a valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database that covers art-related articles.
MasterFILE is composed of full text journal and magazine articles, reference books, biographies, primary source documents, and an Image Collection.
Humanities International Complete provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources covering all aspects of the humanities.

American Memory from the Library of Congress
Contains primary source material relating to the history and culture of the United States. More than 7 million digital items from more than 100 historical collections are included.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York
One of the most well known museums in the world. Includes information on works of art, exhibits, and collections.
Smithsonian American Art Museum
Devoted to American art and artists, this site includes the museums innumerable collections and exhibits.
Web Gallery of Art
Contains over 12,000 digital reproductions of European paintings and sculptures created between the years 1150 and 1800. Biographies of significant artists are included as well.
