Off-Campus Access Instructions

Students may access library databases from off-campus using any computer with Internet access. In order to access library databases, you will need to log-in to the system with your VCCS (Virginia Community College System) User ID and Password. This is the same user ID and password that you use to access Blackboard and student email. If you are unsure of your VCCS User ID or Password, please use the username/password wizard at: nr.my.vccs.edu

Logging In

You may login through the library site by selecting any database that you wish to search. You will then be prompted for a user ID/customer ID and a password.

If you experience problems logging into the system, check the following:

Make sure that you've keyed in your User ID and Password correctly.
The system may be busy or overloaded. With 23 community colleges and 60,000 students using the system, you may have hit a peak time, so please try again later.
