- Initiated Speakers' Bureau to provide opportunity for selected students to express their individual ways of coping with, and compensating for, their learning disabilities
- Produced teleconference entitled "Bridging the Gap: Transition Services in Southwest Virginia"
- Coordinated "Transition: A Global Perspective" conference for area high school personnel, students, and parents
- Developed college directory of brochures from the nation's colleges which provide services for LD students, literature to assist students, literature to assist students in choosing a college program, and information regarding strategies for successful transition.
- Compiled resource library listing for dissemination among postsecondary institutions in Southwest Virginia and beyond
