Emily Polan–Writer of the Week

Emily Polan is in her final year at New River Community College.  She attended NRCC Distance Ed for 2 1/2 years as a dual-enrolled homeschooled high school student. Having starting full-time in the fall of 2007 in the Forensic Science Program, she plans to graduate this May with an AA&S.  In the fall Emily will transfer to George Mason University or The University of Virginia’s College at Wise to major in Administration of Justice.

Emily started writing as a favor to her sister the editor and found she liked it more than expected.  She still writes for The Knight Rider when there are stories nobody else wants.

About Emily Polan

Emily is 20 and attends New River Community College in the Forensic Science Program.  She was homeschooled from birth on, but started at NRCC when she was 16. She was on the SGA last year as a senator and enjoyed her tenure very much. This semester she is excited to be the Vice President and complete her goals for the student body.
