Wednesday, January 28:

Virginia Tech Admissions Counselors will be available today at the mall site to review applications and make “on the spot” admission decisions for Fall 2009. More information is available at http://www2.nr.edu/students/vt.asp. Appointments are required and can be made by contacting Glenda Salerno at gsalerno@nr.edu or 674-3609. This is a great opportunity to get early admission decisions and make schedule changes if needed during the add/drop period. Students who are denied admission will also receive advice about how to become more competitive.

New College students are invited to join the SDV 100 class for an exciting lecture by Monster.com entitled “College: the Ultimate Road Trip” held in Rooker Hall, Richardson Auditorium from 1:25pm to 2:20pm.

Human Services & Early Childhood Development Organization will host a barbecue sale in Godbey Hallway from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The NRCC Men’s basketball team will play Dabney Lancaster Community College at 7:30pm at Crosspointe Gym, Christiansburg. Admission to games is free. Go NRCC Knights!

Thursday, January 29:

The Cheerleading team will host a Taco sale in Godbey Hallway from 11 am to 1pm.

Friday, January 30:

This is the last day students can add classes without instructor approval for the Spring 2009 semester.

The basketball & cheerleading teams will travel to Williamsburg to play Tidewater Community College and Thomas Nelson Community College this weekend. Go Knights & Lady Knights!

Monday, February 2:

The NRCC Men’s Basketball team will travel to Wytheville Community college to play a game at 6:00pm. Go Knights!

The GLBTSA will meet at 3:00pm in a place on campus to be determined.

Tuesday, February 3:

The SGA will meet at 3:00 pm in a place on campus to be determined.

Wednesday, February 4:

All new students are invited to attend a presentation by Monster.com entitled “Ultimate Money Skills”. This is an interactive, fun presentation that discusses personal finance issues related to college life. It will be held 1:25 pm in Richardson auditorium, Rooker hall as part of the SDV 100 class.

The NRCC Women’s Basketball team will host Wilkes Community College in a basketball game at 7:00pm at Crosspointe Gym, Christiansburg. Go Lady Knights!

Thursday, February 5:

Friday, February 6:

The deadline to apply for the senator positions in the SGA is 4:00pm in the Student Activities Office. See Ben Kramer, Activities Counselor, for more information about the SGA.
