Kamui is a 15 year old high school student who must make a decision that could change the fate of the world; whether to join the Seven Dragons of Heaven or the Seven and save the world as we know it, or join the Seven Dragons of earth or the Seven Angels and destroy the world to rebuild it.

The anime is set in Tokyo, Japan, where 6 other people possessing all different powers meet to fight for the Seven Dragons of Heaven. Throughout the whole series they protect Kamui hoping he will fight for them, while the Seven Dragons of earth try to con him into joining their side. In the process, Kamui looses those close to him, while he fights to accept his own destiny.

Watch and find out!

Going back to school is very stressful especially when it’s your first time coming back after being out of school for a while. The world is constantly changing and it can be a bit much to keep up with. The Knight Rider was given the opportunity to interview a returning student; someone who has been out for a long period of time.

Q. What’s your name and where are you from?

A.”Katy Irene St.Marie, well Blacksburg, but I’ve lived in Texas, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New York.”

Q. Do you have a family?

A. “Yes, a son, two grandsons, a daughter, two granddaughters, and a partner named Richard.”

Q. How does it feel coming back to school after being out for a while?

A. “Fabulous, I love school.”

Q. Why did you come back?

A. “To retrain for a different career. I was a homemaker for 25 years, a campus minister for 5 years, and a director of a non-profit childcare center for 5 years.”

Q. Are you enjoying your classes? what’s your favorite(s)? Least favorite(s)?

A.”very much so. My computer class, [is my favorite] I’m finally learning some of the things younger people already know. I really like my Understanding Health Insurance class, I hope I can get a job out of that. I love College Success skills. Human Anatomy and Physiology, [is my least favorite] it’s not the subject matter, its that it’s a distance learning and I haven’t gotten organized yet.”

Q. Do you find it easier or harder being back?

A. “School is a lot easier than work, I’d rather go to school any-day than work. I love learning and homework. I enjoy being around different people on campus, it feeds my spirit.”

Q.How have things changed?

A. “A lot of the technology. It’s not so hard to do well in your classes, the teachers really want you to do well. There’s so many different ways to learn.”

Q. I’m supposing you have a job, how do you handle school and work?

A. “I don’t have a job, I lost it in june. I’m looking for a part-time job, the thought of going to school and having a job kind of scares me.”

Q. Do you think you’ll enjoy your job or career after you graduate?

A. ” I hope so, I want a job that makes a difference in the world. I want to work with people I like and respect.”

Q. Is there any advice you have for other returning students?

A. “Take it one day at a time, be grateful for the gift of being able to come back to school.”

We sometimes fail to see how fortunate we are and take what we have for granted. We focus on the negative instead of enjoying the positive. There are so many people out there who don’t get this same opportunity, so whether or not you are a returning student, or someone who came straight out of high school, we should all make the best of it; enjoy this gift, and be glad that we have a chance to do something so many people wish they could.

Angelica Lee.
