Services for Special Populations

NRCC's Center for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing and Center for Learning Disabled not only support access to students who might otherwise be denied the opportunity to attend college, but staff from these areas lend their support to community agencies, parents of children with disabilities, fellow professionals and others. This has included speaking engagements, consulting and the development of helpful publications.

In addition, students served by these programs have also played important roles in assisting others. NRCC student served as guest speakers at five high schools and three state conferences in 2000 on topics of interest to those dealing with disabilities.
