The New River Valley Center for Economic Development, NRCC's Edwards Hall, serves the training and educational needs of business and industry in the New River Valley. The center fosters economic growth and development by providing a variety of technical services, including skills upgrading and career development programs; re-training; pre-employment and new technology training; and the consolidation of major economic development programs. The center provides state-of-the-art technology including video conferencing and fiber optics.

The offices of the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance are currently housed in this facility, a further indication of the college's commitment to regional economic and workforce development.
