Baseball
is one of several student sports programs at NRCC including competitions
with other sports programs from the Virginia Community College System.
The team consists of 30 players who try out for the team during the
fall. Tryouts are held the 2nd week of full classes. Both men and women
are invited to try out for the team. The top 30 players who also qualify
academically, will be selected for the team. Players may have an opportunity to tryout again in the spring. Practices will start the first day of the spring semester..
The regular season begins in February and runs through the first weekend
in May. All of the players must have 2.0 cumulative grade
point averages, and must be enrolled for at least twelve credits at
all times during fall practice or the spring season in order to play
any baseball games.
