A Microsoft X-Box 360 tournament was held in the Student Lounge in Martin Hall Thursday , February 21. Eight students participated. They decided to play NCAA Football 2012. The winners were: third place, Zach Neal; second place, Brock Lusk, and first place, Kevin Powell. Congratulations to the winners, and many thanks to all who participated. The next video game tournament will be held in September.

Nine students participated in the Pool Tournament on Wednesday, February 20. The winners were: third place, Kevin Taylor; second place: Jonathan Howland; and first place, Dylan Swecker. Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all who played in the tournament. The next intramural pool tournament will be held in September.

The chess tournament was held in the lounge on Tuesday, February 19. The top three contestants were: third place, Bryan Belcher; second place, Zach Neal; and first place, Mike Davis. Winners were awarded Walmart gift cards.

Sixteen players participated in the fall 2012 pool tournament in the lounge on Wednesday, October 3. Three players were awarded prizes after very close games: 1st place, Kevin Taylor; 2nd place, Aaron Lavus and 3rd place, Jay Reed. The next pool tournament will be held in February.

Six players enetered the fall 2012 chess tournament held in the lounge on Tuesday, October 2. Each match was carefully played. In the end, the winners were: 1st place, Michael Davis; 2nd Place, Zach Neal, and 3rd place, C. Clayton Bowman. Thanks to everyone who participated. The next tournament for Chess will be held in February.

Ping Pong Tournament Participants
The fall semester 2012 ping pong tournament was held Monday, October 1, in the T.J. Anderson Student Lounge in Martin Hall. Eight students participated in this tournament. The competition was fierce and the three winners were: 1st place, Michael Davis; 2nd place: Nathan Miller; 3rd Place, Zach Neal. Thanks to all the players for their participation. The next ping pong tournament will be held in February.
Tournaments for chess, pool, video games, and ping pong were held in the Lounge in Martin Hall recently. Here are the final results:
Eight players participated in the chess tournament on February 21. Winners were: first place, Mike Davis; second place, Lee Edney; third place, Tommy Morris.
The pool tournament was the largest one with 18 players participating on February 22.. The winners were: first place, Tommy Morris; second place, Mike Davis; third place, Sara Hale.
The 8 participants of the video game tournament on Thursday, February 23, chose to play a Microsoft X-BOX 360 game entitled “NBA 2K12.” The winners were: Tyrell Johnson, first place; Mike Davis, second place; and Zach Neal, third place.
The Ping Pong Tournament held on Monday, February 27, also drew 8 players. The winners were: Zach Neal, first place; Tommy Morris, second place; and Billy Davis, third place.
Congratulations to all winners and many thanks to all participants who helped make each tournament very exciting to follow. The next tournaments will be held in September 2012. These contests are sponsored by NRCC Student Activities and are open to all NRCC students.
