The fall semester 2012 ping pong tournament was held Monday, October 1, in the T.J. Anderson Student Lounge in Martin Hall. Eight students participated in this tournament. The competition was fierce and the three winners were: 1st place, Michael Davis; 2nd place: Nathan Miller; 3rd Place, Zach Neal. Thanks to all the players for their participation. The next ping pong tournament will be held in February.

Eleven students played in the Fall 2011 Ping Pong Tournament which was held in the lounge on Monday, September 26. The three winners were: 3rd place: Zack Neal; 2nd Place: Tommy Morris; and 1st place: Michael Davis.  Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who participated in this tournament. The next  student activities sponsored ping pong tournament will be held  February 2012.

Students interested in playing in the ping pong tournament are invited to the Lounge on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at  2:30 p.m.  Please be ready to play.  There are no advance sign-ups for this event.  This will be a single player, single elimination tournament. (1-on-1 games). There will be prizes offered: 3rd place:  $10.00 Walmart gift card; 2nd place:  $15.00 Walmart gift card; 1st place:  $25.00 Walmart gift card.   Will Glarner won the ping pong tournament that was held on Monday, September 27. Nathan Vaughn  placed second and Cheston Stoneman placed third.  Christopher E. and Vincent Miller also participated in the tournament.

All students interested in chess, ping pong , Madden NFL 10, and pool are invited to sign up for tournaments to be held in the lounge this fall. Sign-up sheet s are posted on the bulletin board in the lounge,  or you may contact the Student Activities office by Friday,  September 24,  at 4 p.m. to enter one or more of the tournaments.  These are single elimination-style tournaments with the winner being the person who wins 2 of 3 games. Winners will receive a gift card or alternate prize of equal value: $25.00 (first place), $15.00(second place), and $10.00 (third place).

• Ping Pong will be held on Monday, Septmber 27,  at 2:30 p.m.
• Chess will be held Monday, September 27, at 3:30 p.m.
• Billiards/Pool will be held Wednesday, September 29, at 2:30 p.m.
• Madden NFL 10 will be held  Friday, October 1, at noon

All tournaments will be held in the Student Lounge in Martin Hall. Matches will be posted prior to each tournament start.   All tournaments  will be sponsored by the Student Activities Office,  which means there is no fee to participate or for use of the equipment!  All participants must accept that the tournaments are played at their own risk of injury.
