Employment Resources
Many successful businessmen and women attribute part
of their success to their understanding of accounting, the language
of business.
Driven in part by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as well as
by shifts in professional responsibilities and emerging trends, demand
for finance and accounting professionals will continue gaining strength
this year. That, coupled with the abundance of new opportunities
within the field, has many suggesting that the profession may actually
be the significant growth industry of the year.
The Department of Labor reports that employment in
the financial profession will grow at least as fast as the average
for all occupations through 2010, recording a gain of 15.2 percent
in all management, business and financial occupations through the
current decade as well as a 26 percent gain in professional and related
occupations.
